It is a long standing tradition to take special care to pray for the dead during November, commending the souls of the faithful departed to God’s love and mercy, that they may be best prepared for heaven.

It is also a custom to visit the graves of family and friends and pray for them there.

On Saturday next, 7th November at 12noon there is a simple service in the parish church to bless water for people to take to the grave for blessing the grave during their private visit.

Taking Holy Water is an option but not necessary. If you wish to make a visit and to have some prayers to use, then you might find the following helpful.
