Please pray for the visitors to Birmingham and their hosts…
Please pray for the Church and for all Christians…. and for all.
Already over 600 young people have registered for Taize:Birmingham. And members of Boldmere churches have committed themselves to hosting over 30 young people, offering them bed and breakfast to help them take part in this once-in-a lifetime event.
We are looking for another 10 beds! If you can help, please fill in the form here and return it to Fr Allen as soon as possible. If you know someone elese who might hope, please encourage them to think of volunteering too!
The timetable for the weekend has now been finalised. It includes events here in Boldmere, and the main events in the centre of Birmingham. All events are open to our guests. The events in Boldmere, and the times of prayer in Central Birmingham, are open to all people from our parish, and the other local Christian communities. Do come along.
And finally, do encourage anyone who is in the age group 16-35 to register for Taize:Birmingham and take a full part in the weekend.

Taizé: Birmingham 2017
28 April – 1st May
If you are interested in helping welcome young people coming to Birmingham to take part in Taizé: Birmingham 2017 – but were not able to take part in the recent parish meeting to learn more Monday – please contact Fr Allen as soon as possible.
Soon we need to provide details of accommodation etc to the main organisers, and get ourselves ready for preparing the local programme.
It is hoped that other local churches, members of Churches Together, will take part, so please share details of this service and the Birmingham meeting, with ecumenical friends.
Other Taize services in January….
Next year, over the Bank Holiday weekend Friday 28th April to Monday 1st May, Birmingham is hosting a Taizé meeting for young people (16-35).
On Saturday there was a planning meeting for those Christian communities that are hoping to play a part.
At the meeting Boldmere was represented by St Nicholas church and Boldmere Methodists. It is hoped that Boldmere will be one of the host communities.
There will be more information about all this at Mass next weekend, but if you are anxious to find out more now, just click here.
